Well that is the $1,000,000 question! (and the answer.. if you knew) would be invaluable.

Let my try and give you my perspective...

If you look at a growth curve of property there are always ups and downs… that is guaranteed.  There will be ups where prices increase, and there will be downs where prices fall, and there will be periods of stagnation where prices stay the same… but the one constant is that when prices rise after a fall, the prices climb higher than the previous high.

So where are we on this curve? No one knows… everyone guesses. I hear people say “prices will crash”, “property is over-inflated” and “don’t buy now”.

Well in my opinion it’s always a good time to buy. PROVIDED you have a long term view. Because we know that long term prices will go up.

So how much will prices appreciate in one year?   Your guess is as good as mine!

The one thing that makes property so good is that price movements are not usually overnight (like in the stock market) – so it makes it easier to trade “trends”.
